Elizabeth + Jacob's Moody Monday Wedding

I never knew that choosing Kindred North would lead to so much more than a simple place to host our wedding. Jacob and I (Elizabeth, both the bride in these photos and a present day florist + coordinator for Kindred North) got engaged in June of 2019 and married quickly that same year in October. I planned our entire wedding from out of state and living 1,500 miles away from Jacob. Samantha and Nick were youth leaders when Jacob was in high school and took care of us as if we were family. I was blown away by the generosity lavished on us through out the entire process. I wasn’t able to see the venue before choosing it and Sam gave my matron of honor the full tour in addition to getting on Face Time with me to make sure I was comfortable with the space before committing all the way. The night before our wedding, a freak tornado storm bull dozed through Northwest Arkansas. Samantha text me at 7am saying that she was already to the venue making sure everything was beautiful for our outdoor ceremony. When I arrived to the venue that afternoon, the reception space was completely blooming with beautiful centerpieces and wall installments. It was truly beyond what I could have imagined. As a surprise, Sam crafted me this amazing floral hat to wear through out the day. I never felt so myself then when I was wearing that hat! She gets to know her brides, and knew this would match my style. To top it all off, Samantha surprised me saying that she was going to be filming our wedding (an expense we were not able to spare when creating our wedding budget) as a wedding gift to us. I cried right then and there, overwhelmed with gratitude and disbelief.

In September, a few weeks before our wedding, I began working for Kindred training as a coordinator and floral assistant. Getting to see behind the scenes the many hours and attention to detail that goes into hosting each wedding at Kindred North gave me a brand new perspective. As both a bride and now as a team member, I am can say with confidence that the work ethic in which Kindred applies to each and everyone’s wedding day is marked by generosity, excellence, and love.

We got married on a Monday- October 21, 2019. We have always wanted to do things a little differently than others and a Monday wedding helped create the intimate vibes we wanted for our day. With moody hints of black, October trees turning their leaves, birds chirping and golden lighting- our outdoor ceremony felt like a literal dream. We wrote notes to each individual guest that attended our wedding to thank them for the time and energy they spent in not only coming to celebrate, but that they invested into our relationship since day one. We ate dinner together, danced the night away, and rode off on Jacob’s motorcycle in true Northrop fashion. We wouldn’t have done our wedding day any differently and are now die hard Kindred North fans.
